Our platform offers three easy design methods: From Text, From Image, and From Elements.

Creating a Pattern From Text

In this section, you can create a pattern by providing a text prompt to the AI. To get the best results, consider including key details in your prompt: the main elements you’d like in the pattern, your preferred colour scheme, and the illustration style. A simple way to craft a strong prompt is to describe these details to ChatGPT and ask it to generate 4-5 options. Then, try out these different prompts to find the one that works best for you.

Here’s an example of an effective prompt:

“A light seamless pattern with a mix of wildflowers on a white background. Featuring flowers like yarrow, Queen Anne's lace, and delicate blossoms in pastel shades, with thin, flowing stems and leaves.”

Once you've crafted your prompt, explore some customisation features to refine your pattern and simply hit "Generate Pattern" to watch your unique seamless pattern come to life! Experiment with different prompts and styles to see how small changes can create a completely new look, letting you design something truly one-of-a-kind.

Creating a Pattern From Image

With this feature, you can upload your own image and let the AI create a fresh design based on it. You’ll have two options for generating patterns from your images:

Variation: Upload a single image to generate several unique variations of it. Adjust the Keep style toggle to control how much of the original artistic style you want to keep, or use the Keep outline option to retain or change the original composition of elements. For more specific results, you can also add a prompt to guide the AI toward a particular look or theme.

Image Mixing: Combine two images to create a pattern that blends the qualities of both. Select one image to serve as the artistic style and the other to define the composition or outline. You can adjust the influence of each image and even add a guiding prompt if you’re aiming for a specific outcome, giving you control over the final design.

These options allow you to explore endless design possibilities by reimagining and combining your own images into seamless, personalised patterns.

Creating a Pattern From Elements

Creating a pattern from elements

The Elements feature lets you upload your own image and turn it into a seamless pattern. For best results, we recommend using PNG files with a transparent background. In the image editor, you have full control to duplicate elements, adjust their transparency, flip them vertically or horizontally, and rearrange their order to achieve your ideal design.

In addition to elements, you can Add Text with a selection of six system fonts and customise the colour and size for a truly tailored look.

Pattern arrangements can be done in three distinct layouts, giving you flexibility over how elements are arranged in the design.

To refine the final look, you can zoom in and out to resize elements within the design and scroll in any direction to find the perfect centre point.

If you know the final resolution you need, simply enter it to Download a print-ready Repeat Image. For textile printing, Download Pattern Tile and your manufacturer will use it to create a seamless design.

We've covered the basics, and now it’s your turn, jump in and start creating your own unique designs!
